PItch Madness is right around the corner, friends! And I’m going to be one of the slush readers this year! Better bring your A-games!
As you probably know, the entry materials for Pitch Madness include a 35-word (max) pitch and the first 250 words of your finished manuscript. I would suggest you craft your pitches early so you can get your CP’s and betas’ feedback as many times as you can. Also, if you need help to get started with your pitch, check out previous entries from Pitch Wars, Pitch Madness, and other contests.
If you’ve had multiple people look at your submission package and you’ve looked at a million contest pitches and you’re still dissatisfied, I am offering special Pitch Madness pricing on a critique for your 35-word pitch and first 250 words.
(But seriously! Do as much as you can on your own before you submit! Don’t waste your money on a first draft critique.)
If you’d like to get your 35-word pitch + 250 words critiqued (2 passes) for $7.50, fill out the contact form on my Editorial Services page here.
I’ll also be offering critique giveaways from March 3-7 on Twitter, so keep your eyes open!
Lastly, if you don’t know what Pitch Madness is, get your butt over to Brenda Drake’s site and read up!
